Misjkakend Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Hi I`ve got such problem/ When utorrent downloading files on high speed (8-10 mb/sec) it uses cpu to much. Here my computerHere Task ManagerHere my utorrent settingsI am running Win7 and utorrent 2.0.3.20193. Antivirus ESS 4.2.40.0. Turning off ESS didnot resolve problem
DreadWingKnight Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 And what about your disk cache settings?
stevvie Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 PHhhhm 23%, you aint got nothing on me 53% peek but levels out at 50%. http://www.ukimagehost.com/view/bcdeeb26419c6019.jpg Again ONLY when downloading. Never seen this before.I suspect it would be 100% if utorrent used both cpu's properly, Glad that it doesn't.I use PCTools Personal firewall plus and Microsoft security essentials as my FW/AV if that helps
DreadWingKnight Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I use PCTools Personal firewallThis is known to be a problem child actually.
stevvie Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 so utorrent has problems with pctools, zone alarm, Avast!'s P2P shield, McAfee Firewall, Norman Personal Firewall, and Cybersitter, found this out from here http://www.utorrent.com/faq/incompatible-software doe's that leave ANY firewalls left ?If i go back a few version this NEVER happens neither does this happen with bittorent (based on older utorrent code, as you know) I was gonna try est but then read this post http://www.utorrent.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=493990 and it seems that utorrent even has problems with eset. Can somebody recommend a firewall that utorrent doesn't have a problem with and is free ?
Misjkakend Posted June 21, 2010 Author Report Posted June 21, 2010 But i turned off firewall in ess!!!!! And cpu loading didnot get lower
GTHK Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Turning off a firewall doesn't remove its hooks, many will still have a negative influence.so utorrent has problems with pctools, zone alarm, ...More like ZA and many other bits of software interfere with uT's (and in ZA's case the computers itself) operation | Comodo is a pretty nice firewall, but like with everything else that digs its claws into the system it is not infallible.
Misjkakend Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 So utorrent conflicts with all firewalls ???
moogly Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 No. Comodo works fine, KIS, BitDefender, Gdata, AVG too etc...Only few FW are bad (PC Tools, ZA, Norman).
Misjkakend Posted June 22, 2010 Author Report Posted June 22, 2010 So why i have such high cpu loading
