WimIndonesia Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 So far all my torrents and downloads were stored on my W drive. They are still on that same drive, but I had to rename it to T.Now uTorrent cannot find them, says they are all completed. How to direct the program properly to the correct drive?Changing the W into T in the preferences list of directories does not help. What to do?Thanks!Greetings,WimIndonesia
moogly Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Changing the path in the Directories settings is not retroactive, it works only for the new torrents you'll load into µT.2 solutions:1/ Change the download location of the torrents jobs (Stop. Right click > Advanced > Set Download Location) then force a recheck.2/ If you have a ton of torrent jobs, use the freeware BEncode Editor and edit resume.dat (stored in %appdata%\utorrent) with the function 'find/replace' to change in one click the drive letter.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306
EddyS Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Hi folks, I would really appreciate if someone could advise me on the below:Last summer I spent a good week of my life finding documentaries I was interested in on mininova but moved and lost my internet connection in the process. They are still all listed in my utorrent 'downloading' folder, some of them 80 percent downloaded, but now that mininova has changed, these documentaries are no longer available there. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to generate a search for the same torrents on other sites (aside from individually looking up each one with a webbrowser which would take forever)? Thanks so much, Eddy
WimIndonesia Posted June 26, 2010 Author Report Posted June 26, 2010 @moogly: thanks for your fast and adequate reply.if i set a new download location, then which folder to select? the folder where the torrents are stored, where the downloading files are stored, where the completed downloaded files are stored?because each of these files has its own location.thanks in advance.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 EddyS: your issue is not appropriate for this thread.
EddyS Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 My apologies. Thanks for letting me know. In what thread should I post my issue? This seemed like the most appropriate one to me.
moogly Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 @EddyS: Create a new thread in the General section.@WimIndonesia: you need to select the folder where are the files (partial or complete). If the torrent job #i has its files in the folder \torrent_i, you have to point this torrent job to \torrent_i.
