TwistedEdge Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Hey all, hoping for some advice. I previously tweaked my settings, and reran tests today although my network speed hasn't changed a lot, however I am only getting download speeds around 80kB/s for some reason. I used to get 400-500kB/s, so I am not sure why the sudden drop. The torrents have a ton of seeds, so thats not the issue. Please shed some advice, thanks.Heres some info the screenshots don't show,- I have "Enable UPnP port mapping" checked- I have "Enable NAT-PMP port mapping" checked- I have added to windows exceptionWithin BitTorrent section I have,- All boxes "exception Limit local peer bandwidth" checkedAnd this is the result...any ideas?
Switeck Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 I see your speed test reports Rogers Cable...and I'm sorry.Rogers can be to blame for your lack of speed.Your download speed doesn't appear to be suffering nearly as bad as your upload!
TwistedEdge Posted June 29, 2010 Author Report Posted June 29, 2010 Are they toggling it or something? Can I get around it using different ports or am I just SOL?
Switeck Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 You need to go to Rogers-related forums, perhaps try http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rogers...for specific details about Rogers current throttling/shaper methods.
