I'll start d/l of a torrent to a USB drive, when all of a sudden uTorrent says "[pathname]:uTorrent cannot find the file specified." It then says that I have an error caused by a network connection or hardware error. What gives? I used to be able to d/l torrents without trouble.. Should I re-install uTorrent? I have a PC w/ 1GB RAM, Cisco Linksys USB wireless-N adapter and a Netgear Gigabit Dual-Band Wireless-N adapter. I also have Comcast cable modem access. Help!
Switeck Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 For whatever reason, there's probably a hiccup in access to the USB drive...and uTorrent thinks it's lost read/write access to it. So it tosses out an error message and stops the torrent/s.Try downloading instead to an internal drive and that probably won't happen.Since you mentioned both the USB drive and the Cisco Linksys USB wireless-N adapter, is there any chance they're connected to your computer by the same controller? USB on the same controller is a shared pool of bandwidth and 1 fast USB device could very briefly make the other inaccessible.
