How to seed?

Hi, I'm fairly new to torrents but I finally made an account. Whenever I download something and leave it in the downloaded section in my torrent icon, is it seeding? Just trying to make sure I'm actually helping. It's the least I can do for getting stuff for free.

hi, i was also new to the whole seeding story and i can give you this little piece of advice go to utorrent.com and under documentation you will find a topic called migrating yr files into utorrent. just read up and you will find how to seed if u still not sure let me know and i will see if i can post pics for you step by step.

I think that the torrent is seeding...unless something went wrong and it's kinda stuck. Just follow mariannablue's advice and I think you'll be quite well. Technorabbit :-)

Seeding basically just means using decent settings in uTorrent, limit the number of torrents running at once so each gets at least 2 KB/sec per active upload slot, and just leaving uTorrent running at least when you're already using the computer.
