cyber1010 Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 The area at the bottom of the uTorrent window directly to the right of the green check or red X, where is says D:(number)kb/s always incorrectly sums up all the downloading speeds of my torrents. At time it will add an extra unaccounted for 10kb/s. The upload sum is also wrong.2 more things:What does that O: at the bottom mean? Why do finished files (100%) continue downloading? How can they download (they're done) and what are they even downloading? Is it even downloading stuff or is it just glitchy? Thanks in advancecyber1010
DreadWingKnight Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 All of your concerns can be summed up in two words.Protocol Overhead.
cyber1010 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Report Posted July 2, 2010 Ha ha man of few words... ok thanks. But what does that O: mean?
DreadWingKnight Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Overhead that uses bandwidth in that direction.
Uncle Dave Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 When downloading a large file when it has to be 100 % correct. ( E 10-20 ) Like the Downloading of a Linux Operating System. It would b nice to have a record of all the Failed Check Sums, or a confermation to the fact that they have all been correct to that point in the download. I have looked for an answer but have not been able to fined one. Most people will not care, but I HAVE to care. I am using Hughes Net. When I ask about COB, it took a long time to find an answer. There will not be an answer for a question that is never asked. ?Uncle Dave
