SlickR
Hi there, I've been a long user of Utorrent and it has always been excellent with great speeds, but recently, maybe 2-3 weeks ago my download speeds have been reduced to almost 0.I've followed http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=480554#p480554 guide, but the speeds are still way too low.All the torrents start with red icon and either download with 0.1 to 3 kb/s and with the changes I've made pointed in the thread I posted above my download speeds are at around max 30kb/s and very crazy. It sometimes goes to 100kb/s and few seconds later it comes to 2-5kb/s, then goes to around 25kb/s and stays there forever. My speedtest.net average speeds are: DL: 4.02 and 0.45mb.I've set the settings in utorrent like this: upload speed: 327.67kbit/sUtorrent bandwidth configuration: upload limit: 40.0kb/sconnection per torrent : 40max active torrents: 3upload slots: 4connections global: 250max active downloads: 2uPnP port mapping and nat-pmp port mapping is enabledin the advanced settings i have:2a. Set pref->advanced->net.uTP_dynamic_packet_size =false 2b. Set pref->advanced->net.utp_initial_packet_size = 8 (use MTU size)[3] Set pref.->advanced->bt.tcp_rate_control = falseSupport only uTP incoming connections by setting pref->advanced->bt.transp_disposition = 29bt.connect speed =10Most of the torrents are fresh and with 2:1 seed/peer ration with both in the thousands. Before the current speeds, my speeds went all the way up to 450kbps download and 50kbps upload only after few minutes and stayed there till i finished the downloads.my ration has always been above 0.250What is the problem and why are the speeds all of a sudden like with 56k modem from 20 years ago? Switeck
Do you have problems with general web surfing or downloading from websites? If so, call your ISP and complain...as you appear to be having general connectivity issues.
SlickR
Nop, no problems surfing the web, never had.Okay, so now the trackers are appearing to be coming online again and working, but still slow download speeds.I get around 20kb/s on average on all torrents. One of the torrents went all the way up to 50kb/s after 1 hour of downloading for a minute or so and ended up averaging 40kb/s. Switeck
Even if you got problems just that one time...that was really awful.Maybe even Glasnost server/s were messed up also?
SlickR
the ubuntu torrent downloads at 0-5kb/s.I'm also uploading only 0-0.4kb/s in all of the torrents, including ubuntu. So its probably the ISP than, it seems kinda obvious now, right? Switeck
That's pretty bad even for 56k dial-up, so yes.
