Need an Updation....

Hi,

I am from Pakistan, and I have been using µTorrent for the past 4 years now... and I have never felt the need to use any other client.

I just wanted to thank the µTorrent team for this great client and point toward a very simple "needs to be updated" sort of a thing which is...

Why µTorrent does not resolves to Pakistani flag like most of the countries in "peers" tab like its doing for USA, Italian, Canadian flags ?

I know this pic doesn't have a PK IP in it but when it does, it either doesn't resolves the IP or resolves an IP without a flag...

why is that and can it be updated some how?

I know its not much of a big deal but hey if µTorrent can resolve to US, Canadian and other flags why can't a Pakistani flag ?

Because some IPs have no reverse DNS and µT can't display something that doesn't exist.

Right-click in the peers window, uncheck Resolve IPs.

Reverse DNS games are common, where a peer/seed gives crazy stuff.

There is nothing you can do. It's in the hands of the ISPs, not µT.

The thread I linked is just here to add the good flag to resolved IP with the US flag.

Reverse DNS lookups costs connections and bandwidth...this means less speed for actually downloading and uploading torrents.

Did you plan to add .RS and .ME to default country flag set? IP address resolved, server name is displayed (with sbb.rs at end), and without flag!
