Vectorferret
This isn't a criticism, since nothing seems to be able to UPnP with D-Link routers, but what is the actual reason? I was thinking about it today but can't figure out why.
Ultima
Dunno... Maybe their implementation is totally wrong/different?
splintax
I can get UPnP to work from time-to-time on my old D-Link router. It's very unreliable though. :/
Firon
It's unreliable for one, and two, it often causes the router to stall.
Yenkaz
I have a D-link 604v2, and it seems to work just fine.

Vectorferret
For me it works the first time for any particular program, but after that, total failure.
chaosblade
I dont think there is a proven standard to do UPnP, So every other router maker implements it in his own silly way.
utorrenteric
In order to get torrents to work with my D-Link router (DI 704P) I had to configure it to open a trigger port (1720 in my case) for applications. I didn't need to do any other fancy port forwarding stuff beyond that. I believe there is something screwy about D-Link and UPnP but that solved it for me. lorcro2000
Bottom line is that D-link is cheap and useless, IMHO... out of the half dozen d-link products I've tried to use at home or work, none have worked 100%. Usually they sort of worked in a half-assed way but never hassle free. Of course, that's just one mans opinion.
Simon
I'm willing to bet 90% of routers arnt set up properly anyway.
