what happens if you turn off your cpu while downloading

I turned off my cpu, because it froze. I was 50% into downloading a file. It seems to me like it has begun to download again. I was wondering, is that what the system does. Pick up where you left off,-idea.

Also, I am having to go to utorrent's website every time I want to download, and click on the download 1.4. Is that right? Or shouldn't once I have downloaded, an icon stay on my desktop or in list of programs to click on. I have downloaded 4 things, and every time, I have to load program. It is strange because once I do load, it it pulls up the torrent page I left off, and shows what torrents I'm seeding.

It picks up where you have left off.

Dont' make 2 threads about the same thing, i answered your question in the other thread. Please read the FAQ as you seem a little new and you sound like you need to understand the program a little better.

Turn of the computer, you mean? There might be some data loss, but only for the data that wasn't written to disk from memory. Meaning only data between the last 30 seconds or the last time your write queue size got filled (which ever one happened most recently) will be erased.

Edit: How is this the same as the other thread...?

You never played Ultima ? You missed out man ! Hard to get it running these days but do a google search for 'Exult' if you're interested in one of the best RPGs of all time.

Sorry for hijacking the thread
