Cant download

I am using utorrent 2.0.3 and using win XP. Recently I am facing a problem. Whenever I wanna close u torrent, it gives me a msg that utorrent is unable to save and you r gonna lose some data. Actually the whole file is gone if I close u torrent. It says that this is happening that some other program is using this file but trust me there is no other program that uses that file and also it says that it may happen due to less space in hard disk. But I ve lots of space there. I cannot literally download anything due to this problem.

Can anyone help ?
