shmohawk Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 All the torrents I download get this error- Error: Invalid Download State, try resuming. Whenever I start the seed manually it reads this error - Error: Files missing from job. Please recheck.Whenever I recheck it stops.I assume the problem comes about because I map the downloads to a different location than the default location? - but whenever I try to start after a recheck, or set the download location the files re-download.Is there a way to just re-map where uTorrent looks without having to download the files again?Any help would be much appreciatedI'm using version 2.0.3
Switeck Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Yes...follow the migration guide:http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/migrate
shmohawk Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 many thanksEDIT:I've read the documentation and tried the steps. I can't restart the torrents without them re-downloading the data a second time. Forcing a re-check always results in a stopped status before it completes.p.s. - I apologize if I'm overlooking something that may seem obvious to you all, I've been searching forums for answers - so please excuse my ignorance and inexperience.
Switeck Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 If you have the torrent's data and you point uTorrent to the correct folder so it can locate it, it should recheck the data as 100% good...barring other disasters.
shmohawk Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 well i'm lost then.i've tried Advanced -> set download location - specifying the folder the files are contained in, i've tried specifying one folder up (folder that contains all downloaded folders in my library) neither work. re-checking just won't complete, and starting after setting the download location just re-downloads.I can download just fine, listening to the files is no problem, just seedingim runnig windows vista, utorrent v. 2.0.3 , my paths arent up to 250 charactersthanks for trying though Switeck
Switeck Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Can you test with simple single file or single folder torrents to see if they at least can be detected after being moved?Have you backed up your uTorrent settings?
