snadge Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I have a 16.4Mbps connection, Iam on 54Mbps wifi network at full sync - my internet is o2 LLu (unrestricted) recently, when I download heavily seeded files (on seedboxes) i max out at 1.9MB/s (15.5Mbps) but it only last a few seconds before dropping back down too a 20-300KB/s where it stays for about 20 seconds before slowly climbing up and down - and this repeats but a LOT of the times it never climbs back up?I have ports open and green tick?Im using Windows 7 and uTorrent 1.8.3
rafi Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 The support here is only for the latest uTorrent release. Upgrade.
snadge Posted August 6, 2010 Author Report Posted August 6, 2010 I cant as 2.0 is banned by most private trackers... as is 1.8.5 hence me using 1.8.3I think it may be related to my wifi network... 54Mbps wifi is only good for about 16Mbps real world throughput at full 54Mb sync rate and my broadband is about that or just over and I think it might be the router struggling to deal with all the traffic... ...my router has a 108Mbps mode so ive just ordered a 108Mbps card for laptop... £12.99 from eBaycheers
Switeck Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 1st and 2nd links in my signature.Wireless overloads from too many connections at once typically MUCH easier than wired Ethernet.
