Bunsher
I recently downloaded a torrent (http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Dazed-and-Confused-Soundtrack/39520ba5228c9d80a377238ae8fac47f91baaceb1dd9) and it downloaded quickly and fine and what-not. I transferred the songs from the file into another file that I already had on my laptop. Now there is this evil file in my downloads folder called Dazed and Confused Soundtrack" that won't delete. I'll delete it, then it will return again, and my recycle bin is cluttered with Dazed and Confused Soundtracks! It's quite insane. Is there anything I can do about it? Poe6661
Yes, download a file shredder. I had a corrupted file once from a bad installation and it refused to delete but a shredder did the trickHere's one http://download.cnet.com/File-Shredder/3000-2144_4-10662831.html?tag=mncol
paintball9
Coming back isn't typical of corrupted files. Usually they won't even be able to be moved to the recycle bin. Does it give you an error when using shift+delete (Skip recycle bin delete). If not and it comes back it is probably some software re-creating the file, either utorrent is still downloading it or some malware could be to blame. Bunsher
Shredding it didn't work. Supposing it's malware, how do I go about getting rid of the bastard?
