davexnet Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Hi all (apologize in advance it this has already been discussed),when I open a new torrent this dialog appears, the files present show up in the "torrent contents" area, the check boxes to the left of the file names are no longerselectable with the mouse (left-click).Some bad interaction with my OS? (Windows 2000)EDIT:Tested this version on my other box (XP) and it's fine.On my Win2k PC the check box is not selectable with the mouse. This is how it looks - first I selected "select none", then attempted to check off the boxnext to "city of vice" ep 1. You can see that instead of putting the check mark in the box, it has put something likeparenthesis around the box:Uploaded with ImageShack.us
davexnet Posted August 10, 2010 Author Report Posted August 10, 2010 No theories? Not a problem with Common Controls, C++ runtime, etc, etc. ?Something about the OS - perhaps there is something I can update OS-wise ?
davexnet Posted August 10, 2010 Author Report Posted August 10, 2010 Yes, of course, Win2k or some o it's components...Have there been anything from utorrent to state there may be issues with Win2k ?2.02 was OK, and I've since reverted back to it.
Firon Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I'm not really sure why it broke on 2000, but we'll investigate this.
davexnet Posted September 6, 2010 Author Report Posted September 6, 2010 Thanks for the info. Of course, as well as this problem, I'm unable to expand the pathsin this menu as others have been reporting. Is it something that will be fixed in a future version ?
moogly Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 I guess all GUI issues related to Win2k are a low priority, especially because MS has stopped its support for Win2k.
andyc Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Thanks for the reply!I was thinking maybe one of the developers could tell us what changed in these recent releases that makes them incompatible with win2k. Maybe we could copy some newer/missing dlls fomr an XP machine or someting... I used to do that back in the day with win95 vs. 98 machines and it worked... mostly .
