uTorrent v2.0.3 freezes Win7

Hey all,

Just recently I have run into a problem with uTorrent. It happened the first time with v1.8 so I uninstalled and installed 2.0.3. The problem seemed to be fixed as 2.0.3 worked fine for about 2 weeks, then the problem came back today. I am running windows 7 professional with symantec av and windows firewall.

Here is the problem:

uTorrent will run for between 2 and 5 minutes just fine, then the entire computer will freeze without warning. There is no response of any kind and the only solution is to perform a hard reboot. My hijackthis.log is passted below, and there was no crash report in the utorrent file so I couldn't include that.

Uninstall Norton (symantec) That is the most likely candidate.

Ok, but then what do I do for AV?

Choose another, Preferably one that actually allows you to set your own restrictions and exceptions without deciding for you.

If removing norton doesn't help with the freezes than you can just put it back on anyways, but try it.
