Downloading to network disc - error

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Proud I bought a network disc, it's a pleasure for storing stuff, however...

When I download a torrent file to my network disc I get the following error:

"Error: Element not found" and the torrent stops.

If I resume, the torrrent starts for a while and then I get this error:

"Error: the process can't access the file because it is used by another process" and the torrent stops.

I have read the FAQ http://www.bittorrent.com/btusers/help/faq/bittorrent-software-client#1n43 and http://www.bittorrent.com/btusers/help/faq/bittorrent-software-client#1n69

I set bt.compact_allocation = false which had no effect as well checked against other processes accessing the disk/folder...

When I download to a local disk, there is no problem at all! My network disk is mounted into explorer as Z: drive. I save my download to Z:\[name of torrent] so it's under the limit if 254 characters for a network path. I also tried replacing Z: by the device name as in \\nd-xs\[torrentname]. All of them give the same problem :(

I hope someone can give me some advice?

Thank you so much!
