moogly Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 HiIs it possible to fix the "black circle" missing when a new message has been posted in a section?
paintball9 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Agreed, Yesterday's update was most unwelcome. I had come to favor that little dot.
GTHK Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 I'm happy to keep my little squares for new messages! But where'd my goddamn preview button go :'(And why do half the things I click stay marked as new when they aren't? And now quote buttons!? DIE NEW FORUM SOFTWARE DIE!!!!
moogly Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 Preview button is available if you use "Quote" or "Post reply" but not with "Quick post". I think it's logical.Quoting is a good thing in large posts and especially when you reply to the user few days ago. Some threads have been broken after the update, like http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404.

Like anything new it will take a bit of time to become comfortable with.
moogly Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Posted August 12, 2010 Yep, this update is fine (more or less few details). The only thing missing is the black circle announcing a new post/thread as previously.I also observed there is a duration (30 s) between 2 searches. (surely to limit server overloading)
GTHK Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 theres no logic to removing such a useful button the rest of the line is blanknothing and post reply is an extra unnecessary middle man like having to go through the slow 20 mph tolls instead of running through the sunpass express lanes at 70mph and some people will probqably over use the quote button it was easy enough to add quote tags and i bet the new post button still isn't registering correctly i guess im going to find out.
Switeck Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Sometimes even the "Submit" button doesn't work for "Quick post".
moogly Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 Weird. Report and Quote links are on the left now!
moogly Posted August 17, 2010 Author Report Posted August 17, 2010 Argh! The sig area is moved on the left now!And secondly, is it possible to fix the broken text tags like here or here. This update has really broken many things.
Firon Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Custom bbcodes are all gone. Lists can be remade with the new [ list] tag. See BBCode help for instructions. And the sig area looks fine to me, same as it was before.
moogly Posted August 17, 2010 Author Report Posted August 17, 2010 And the sig area looks fine to me, same as it was before. I'm seeing that today. EDIT/ Ok, I got it. You fixed the thing but old posts stay in broken state.
Switeck Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 I can no longer view the forums with a low-brightness background and decent-contrast text. My eyes are too old and tired for this glare.
Firon Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 And the sig area looks fine to me' date=' same as it was before. [/quote']I'm seeing that today. http://www.izipik.com/images/201008/17/l46ghhjr86ajmfwx1c-sigut.pngEDIT/ Ok, I got it. You fixed the thing but old posts stay in broken state.sigs should be fixed on the uTorrent style.
moogly Posted August 18, 2010 Author Report Posted August 18, 2010 sigs should be fixed on the uTorrent style. Thanks but not completely. Just a little offset is still present.
Firon Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I fixed that not long after I made my post, but you might still have the old CSS. Hard refresh
