Won't open torrents

Never had a problem with this before but recently when I open torrents with utorrent, nothing happens. It does open utorrent or add the torrent to my download list. I ahve tried opening it with utorrent open and still nothing happens. I uninstalled it and for the first torrent after reinstall it worked but now has gone back to how it was before.

any help?

could you please elaborate. ubuntu as in the os? how does that work, im on vista

Just try the download. Like a test torrent. Ubuntu releases are always well seeded and will almost always max out a connection. Go to their website and download a .torrent file for any of the releases. You don't even have to finish it. Just see if that torrent works.
