brinlizpeterson Posted August 27, 2010 Report Share Posted August 27, 2010 When I try to download a torrent, they are getting sent to VLC media player instead of utorrent. I have been trying to figure this out off and on for about 2 weeks, but this one is above me. VLC of course can not reconize the torrent files so nothing happens. Anybody have a fix for this? moogly Posted August 27, 2010 Report Share Posted August 27, 2010 Renew the file association about .torrent files in Windows.In µT: Prerences > General > Associate with .torrent filesOr in Windows, right click on a .torrent file stored on your HDD then select 'Open with...' then choose utorrent.exe stored in the folder %ProgramFiles%\uTorrent.
