Switeck
"I am living in a dorm of university, I tried using his laptop in his room and the torrent was working great with the same university network."Probably means it's your computer to blame...and I'd guess that means the Norton firewall isn't handling the connections properly. I highly advise using this and retesting:http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN...with Windows firewall possibly running. Switeck
So it was "big brother 1984" that was watching you and lowered your speeds.Just goes to show how much control they have over your internet connection...and how much of what you do that they can see. fanniyyeh
definetly ... its just a new policy they are applying .. it started last month which gives us a limit of 30 GB per month and whenever u exceed that ... ur peer-to-peer download speed will be limited to 50kb/sec .. anyway i finished my degree .. i m leaving on monday
Switeck
I hope the next place you go has friendlier internet access, but the UK is a pretty sorry place right now to be if you're trying to use BitTorrent.
