bfblackjack
uTorrent asked me to update to 2.0.4 - so I did. Big mistake. Now, for nearly all my torrents, the trackers are stuck on "updating"...What the..fudge. Anyone care to help? Please let me know what you need me to do cause I'd like to get this fixed so I can start torrenting again. hahathanks

GTHK
Firewall?
bfblackjack
Why would it be a firewall if it was working fine in 2.0.2 before? That makes no sense. But anyways, I'm back at 2.0.2 and it fixed itself over the night. So looks like im staying at 2.0.2 haha. thanks anyways
rafi
Why would it be a firewall if it was working fine in 2.0.2Because firewalls are tuned to a specific release. You need to change the rules for every new release.
BarthezZ
2.0.4 definetly has a serious bugI manage multiple trackers, and after enabling ipv6 on my client it's just SPAMMING the tracker with updates. Multiple times a second. After disabling ipv6 it still does the same, but before enabling it it didn't.This is a _BIG_ issue, as my tracker has a increase in hits/second of 5 times! rafi
Sound serious enough to be seriously investigated by BT devs !
bfblackjack
SO..it's not my firewall.
rafi
maybe, and maybe not... no one has confirmed anything on the BT devs' side ... yet...But this change:-- 2010-08-26: Version 2.0.4 (build 21515)- Fix: started and stopped events now correctly sent to torrents with multiple tracker tiers.Might have something to do with it... When was it beta-tested at all ? ... Ah, probably in this release...
bfblackjack
Quick update...looks like whatcd is reporting problems as well (updating tracker) with 2.0.4 and recommended users to go back to 2.0.3 so something is seriously wrong with 2.0.
Firon
It's specifically 21515 that has the problem. 21431 did not.http://download.utorrent.com/utorrent-test.exeTry this build out. From my own testing, it was not sending duplicate event=started every second. There will be a new official build up shortly with the fix.
Firon
We have a new build up. 21586. It is released and is currently being autoupdated. 21515 is the build with the problem, in case you need to block it from your tracker. The user-agent for the broken build is uTorrent/2040(21515)
bfblackjack
Alright looks like it works since whatcd says build 21586 is working as well! thanks
toddy1
My anti-virus proram (Comodo) tells me that in the latest uTorrent upgrade (2.04), there is a malicious Heur bug - and I am advised not to donwload it. Tried four times and same results. Also, saved file to download in Temps file box to try and bypass.... and cannot download anymore than 3% of it and then stops (dowloading etc). I am sticking to version 2.03 as it otherwise works fine for me !!!!!!!!
