Paradigm
Hello all,I recently moved into college (UNH to be exact) and my utorrent speed is abysmal. I'm trying to download Open Office, and I am aware that a direct download is possible but if I fix this problem now I won't have to worry about it in the future. It is downloading, but at 2-3kbps with 80(367) seeds and 5 (251) peers. I've ran the tests and followed the basic setup guide and everything is set up fine. I have encryption set to forced, I have tried both other settings to no avail either and an upload max of 50kbps. I've also found that keeping my upload limit to 256kbps increases my DL speed to 5kbps.Help!
DreadWingKnight
You are likely on a torrent-throttled connection, OpenOffice torrents are set up in such a way that your connection's downstream SHOULD be getting maxed.
Switeck
"at 2-3kbps"..."I've also found that keeping my upload limit to 256kbps increases my DL speed to 5kbps."Do you mean kilobits/second or KiloBYTES/second?uTorrent's speeds in the Preferences, Bandwidth window are in KiloBYTES/second.
