rafi
I'm not sure how I got to it exactly, but after adding torrents, that previously downloaded (delete data + recheck) - I got uT to have +1 actual queue size over what was specified. 3 instead of 2, 4 instead of 3 etc.
Firon
And did you wait up to 60 seconds? uT only checks the queue every 60 seconds.
rafi
yes I did. It stayed that way ... As I said - I'm not sure what sequesnce has triggered it.
synche
I have experienced a similar phenomenon. I had the "maximum number of torrents" set at 2. I noticed that 3 unforced torrents were running (no forced at the time). I shut 1 of the torrents down, changed the "mnot" to 1, and then back to 2 and ten minutes later when I looked 3 unforced torrents were again running. It has now been almost half an hour and 3 torrents are running, even though my mnot is set at 2.utorrent 2.2 (build 23235) winxp sp3
Switeck
Do you have uTorrent set in advanced settings to not count slow downloading or uploading torrents?
synche
Both are set to true.
Switeck
When it's starting more torrents, is it because some are very slow?
rafi
Why is it always so complex? Asking for exact queue size w/o any additions, extras, conditions and so on - is just a trivial thing to expect ... Dear devs, just make it so... B regardsYours truely... R. Switeck
If uTorrent is configured to ignore slow downloads and uploads FOR PURPOSES OF THE QUEUE, I expect sometimes to see more torrents started than I "allowed".It is not a bug, disable that feature if you don't like how it works. rafi
Simplicity is the name of the game... A simple user like to have simply behaving features. A 1-1 queue is what people expect. This should be the default behavior. Whoever like sophisticated logic - let HIM go to advanced and play with "dangerous" settings, under the title "Do not modify"... So, dear devs, please change those settings default that Switeck mentioned to false... Thank you kindly (as if any dev is even reading this... )
synche
I didn't touch those settings, in fact I have never looked at the advanced tab before. Also all 3 torrents that run are active in the sense that they are going at uploading and/or dl'ing at regular speed. I also notice the other real slow torrents going, but not on the active page. rafi
what is being suggested is that you set:pref->advanced->queue.dont_count_slow_dl = falsepref->advanced->queue.dont_count_slow_ul = falseand re-test...
