dagu
any changes that i make as far as configuration of columns, speeds, and other preferences are wiped every time the program closes....it is likely that i will roll it back to 2.0.3, as it seemed stable; this version does not...daguindiana, usa<munched by admin, DON'T LINK OLD VERSIONS>
DreadWingKnight
Downgrading not only isn't troubleshooting, it isn't supported, and given the security holes you have to deal with in the version you're planning to downgrade to, is VERY much not recommended.Check the security properties on your settings.dat file or delete it and re-create it (it's in start - run - %appdata%\utorrent)
dagu
well dwk, as much as i appreciate the sage advice, the sad fact is that i'd rather use my time obtaining tasty tunes than debugging a program that doesn't work correctly...if and when 2.0.4 gets fixed, then i'll use it...'tis not my purpose in life to fix it....i can handle security issues on my own...i see you destroyed my link....info assimilated...'twon't occur again....over and outdaguindiana, usa
DreadWingKnight
The thing is, you're the ONLY person who has reported this problem. So the problem isn't with 2.0.4It's with your system.
dagu
Hmmm...unlikely, i think, since it runs on 4 different machines; 2 XP Pro Corporate, 1 Ubuntu 10.04, and 1 running LinuxMint...maybe ghosts in the machineno more debate for me...this isn't a life-threatening issue, so good luck, live long and prosper, keep your head down, and all associated wishes of that sort...daguindiana, usa
DreadWingKnight
You haven't addressed what I brought up in the second post in the thread, and you likely won't either. And the longer you avoid following the directions we give, the longer it'll take to get the problem fixed. Switeck
Have you backed up uTorrent's resume list and then deleted all its settings and done a stand-alone portable install?
