Firon
Well, it's been a long time since the last build. There's a new 3.0 up, build 27079. Built for Ubuntu 10.10, so it requires openssl 0.9.8.I'll hopefully have some other platforms up soon.
Mr. DOS
The 32-bit build works for me on Debian 6.
Firon
It was built for 10.10 and not guaranteed to work on other platforms, but it often will. But sometimes your glibc is different and it won't.
Mr. DOS
For sure. Just posting anecdotal evidence in case anyone else wanders past this thread looking for success stories. (For the curious, at present, I'm running kernel 2.6.32 with glibc 2.11.3.)FWIW, the WebUI from the other thread still seems to work better than the stock one. indispus
Hello!I've just installed the current stable version (3.0 build 27079) of uTorrent Server on a Debian Lenny machine. It works great, but in the interface I have very limited options. For example I don't have the possibility to remove a torrent. Right-click on item displays the default browser menu.Is that intended? Thanks!

MortenB
I run my uTorrent server on Ubuntu 11.04 because of Unity. I am considering XUbuntu 12.04 (64) now because of a light GUI (headless server anyway) and the requirement of the latest uTorrent server . Anyone with experience on XUbuntu with latest uTorrent server ?

rhdinah
Actually I'm just as happy as a lark to run Windows utorrent.exe under Wine ... too bad the last release that seems to run properly to some extent is 2.2.1 ... albeit a bit flaky for 12.04 Ubuntu ... too bad that some time could not be spent to make sure at least one of the newer Windows releases can run under Wine. Not that I'm wining mind you ...

wd6cmu
Minor bug: In RSS Downloader -> Favorites, if you un-check an enable check box in list of favorites, they will be checked when you add a new favorite. I think other manipulations cause the same effect, but I didn't catalog all of them.
Ultima
http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=586888#p586888Broken API design, broken UI. I can't imagine it being more than a trivial bug to fix on the backend (API) side. If someone would bother to fix the backend by having it use simple bit twiddling, this would be work just fine without any work on the UI side, and it would continue to work even as new options get exposed. sadonly
Is there any chance to rename a torrent? ("more actions" doesn't provide an options like rename). I'm still using version utorrent-server-3.0-ubuntu-10.10-27079 that works fine but too limited options... Another thing, in firefox with JavaScript enabled under Preferences, right click on a stopped torrent shows me only "force recheck" option and right click on an active torrent shows me only firefox context menu...Any developer progress on this ?
