LazyD
On multiple systems I've used, whenever utorrent says a new update is available and asks if I want to download and install it, I choose yes but it always fails.I'm pretty sure that it always says there is a problem with the language pack. paintball9
If it fails, (either because of firewalls or permission problems) you can manually update. Just quit utorrent, Go to the download section of this website and download the new version. It will automatically update the program and keep your old torrents and such. LazyD
Thanks for your reply.I'm 90% sure the reason it's failing is nothing to do with firewalls or permissions. I've tried it on multiple systems with no firewalls turned on at all, no hardware or corporate firewalls in place either, and logged in as admin, I always get the same thing, utorrent update fails. It does say that the language pack failed to download, I'm guessing this is the first thing that comes down with the update and it's timing out, but why?I also assume that it is something in particular with the way I've set up my systems, perhaps I've stopped a required service or something, just can't think what.
