But what I would really like to see is to have it instead be "Open Folder or Single File".The difference would be, if there was only a single file in the torrent (and therefore the torrent didn't have its own named directory created for it), then run that single file. If there were multiple files in the torrent, then open that torrent's dedicated folder.This would be awesome because that is what I really want this function to do -- open/run the thing that was downloaded. If it's a folder of files open that folder; if it's a file run it.When it's only a single file that has been downloaded, the double-click action isn't especially useful, because it just opens the folder where all my single-file downloads go. So I am again left manually browsing in Explorer to the actual file (have to look up its filename in the uT Files tab first) and then run it. I think it would be really useful if it would run single files without me having to go to Files tab, find out whether it's a single file or not, and then taking appropriate action.Don't you? cjard Posted March 7, 2006 Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 what if it's a single file of an exe that has a virus? you could right click and scan it if you have a good antivir program and were looking at it in windows (because it was "Open Contining Folder"-ed).. but if uT ran it for you.. then your machine just got a virus.Hmm.. i'd leave it as is.. is it really that much extra to double click the single file in windows? It would fit perfectly as an option in the 'Actions for Double Click' part of the Appearance - Interface part of the options dialog. (Don't remember if that part of the options dialog is in 1.5 but it is in Beta 1.5.1 build 462)No reason not to offer an option that decreases the number of steps required to 'get' a file by one - I know it would save me alot of clicking of 'Files' tabs / closing explorer windows.
