maku8ex Posted March 7, 2006 Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 umm in every torrent there is always some data that is discarded ( not due to hash fails ).....is this completely unavoidable??I get discarded data in Azureus as well as utorrent ....but somehow bitcomet does not show any discarded data at all??what's the deal?? Like Firon said, basically nothing you can do about it.Though some people report improvements when using PG2 - but only in decreasing hashfails.. They generally lock it when it's a dupe, or when a flame war is imminent/happening...You can't control the amount of discarded data because your client doesn't know whether data has to be discarded until after it has been downloaded.
