azzz88 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Share Posted September 5, 2010 Hi, Ive been using uTorrent for the past few years without a problem untill a few days ago. I've been trying to download some Bluray MKV's which up untill now i have been able to do without a problem. but over the past few days the download speed sits around 10 kB/s where usually they download around 250 kB/s. I've downloaded other music and video formats and they work fine. Does anyone know how to fix this/ or the problem that is causing it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Switeck Posted September 5, 2010 Report Share Posted September 5, 2010 VERY large torrents tend to have their torrent swarms devolve into barely-at-upload-speeds.So on them, it's not uncommon for downloaders to only be getting download speed about the same (or lower!) as their upload speed. You can improve the odds for you...to get higher download speed...by making sure your upload speed max in uTorrent is being reached and sustained and that each upload slot being used is going at least 2 KiloBYTES/second on average...but not higher than ~20 KiloBYTES/second, because few are fast enough to return the favor.
