rfredley
I have an Apache server running that allows me to access a few neat web apps from both within my home network and externally. I would like to be able to access the uTorrent Web UI from outside my home network. I've tried a few different solutions, but none have been successful. I read somewhere (most likely these forums) that I need to setup a reverse proxy, or something of the sort... After much Googling and meesing around with conf files, I still have been unsuccessful. Any help (or even a brief howto) would be greatly appreciated.
Znarkus
Can't you just open port 8080?I use it from outside with a SSH tunnel. It's very easy to setup, see http://oldsite.precedence.co.uk/nc/putty.html. This makes it much more secure also.
The Mighty Buzzard
There's nothing stopping you from using the WebUI outside your home network except possibly a lack of having forwarded port 8080 (unless you changed it) to the machine running uTorrent if you're behind NAT. funicorn
You should keep in mind utserver itself is a server. To control the webui at remote you don't need extra webservices like apache.
