Jebediah
Hi,after reconnecting to a torrent I experienced some users (all leechers) falling back to a percentage level they did pass long ago. One even must have restarted the torrent at zero. Since this is a quite big torrent and there were at least three IPs which showed that behavior I was wondering how and why someone would do something like this or what it is indicating (unfinishable torrent if this is possible).Any suggestions to this? paintball9
It could be people download sections at a time (due to lack of space) and deleting them before moving on in the torrent. Although I'll admit I haven't seen it happen that often. 3 people at the same time seems a bit suspicious.
Jebediah
Hi,now after month I find out where is the sense to fake the own percentage level:Peers (leechers) with a lower rate are preferred by the seeders which is clever to keep those with 90% and more and who might stop seeding the minute they finished their download. So those with nearly finished downloads took finished parts replaced them with empty files of same size and forced uTorrent to check the integrity... now they set the priority to high for the files they still need and low or even not to load they already have. Switeck
Hopefully, they set the ones they already had to not to download....It's still dirty if that's what they're doing.I'd probably ban them if I had lots of others to upload to.
