UPnP is ON on router and modem and I can't get incoming connections

Recommended Posts

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I just changed ISP and I know my new one (Sympatico) does throttling but I can't even seem to open up a port.

My modem is a Siemens Speedstream 4200 which I unlocked using this guide http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,11490618

My router is a Belkin N150 F6D4230-4 v2000

I am using a Mac Computer running the latest uTorrent

I enabled UPnP on the modem using the instructions found on DSLreports. UPnP was already enabled on the router.

No incoming connections.

I enabled DMZ on the modem on the address of the router's WAN. I enabled DMZ on the router using my computer's IP.

No incoming connections.

I opened up port 58123 on everything, no luck.

I'm used to having Cable internet where the modem does nothing, but putting the modem in bridge mode and having the router do the PPPoE authentication just doesn't seem to work properly (cheap router lol)

Could someone help me out?

My only guess is that I'm somehow not forwarding properly between the router and the modem, but I have no idea what im doing wrong. If dmz doesn't cut it, then I just don't know.

Firewall is deactivated on modem, router and computer

Thanks a lot
