bugmenot2
I have a DIR-655 router and the timeout for TCP connections is 7800 seconds. This make the router crash because uTorrent is creating a lot of connections. Is it possible to set the same time out seconds in uTorrent? So the router and utorrent is closing them down at the same time?
DreadWingKnight
No. You need to get the timeout in the router down.130 minutes is the timeout for tcp connections in the router, stupidly high. (2hr10min)
bugmenot2
Yes I know but I dont think it's possible.
DreadWingKnight
Then you either find 3rd party firmware for the router to make it possible, or get a router that can run 3rd party firmware.
bugmenot2
So it's not possible to set a timeout limit in utorrent then?
Ultima
Nope.
Switeck
It's also possible to decrease how many connections uTorrent makes/uses so your router is far less likely to crash.
bugmenot2
Yeah, I have a max of 80 connections right now. Thanks.
Switeck
What about bt.connect_speed and net.max_halfopen?Or UPnP, NAT-PMP, DHT (both kinds), Local Peer Discovery, and Resolve IPs?(All these create additional connections.)
