moogly
You have to renew the file association of .torrent files with utorrent.exe stored in the folder %ProgramFiles%\uTorrent.Right click on a random .torrent file stored on your computer and select 'Open with...' then choose utorrent.exe.And verify IE is configured to call utorrent.exe when you want to open a .torrent downloaded from internet. moogly
Ok, so µT is NOT installed on your computer?Or do you use it as standalone? If Windows Explorer fails to find utorrent.exe (make a search), µT isn't installed.

moogly
Or the issue is with IE, it is configured to open the .torrent instead of calling utorrent.exe. Look at IE options.
