Resolve Hostnames through SOCKS5

Hi Guys,

I trying to configure Tor with utorrent. I've noticed that there is no Socks4a and I've read that the only way to resolve hostnames is through Socks4a not with Socks5 or Socks4.

My question is:Is it true that resolve hostnames can't work with Socks5 if I use the option??

You've read incorrectly. Please re-read the Socks5 specification document.

Socks5 supports resolving hostnames over it.

We don't support or endorse the use of uTorrent with tor.

And neither do they.

The massive amount of load that is generated by p2p applications makes them not recommended for use over tor.

Plus, you end up permanently firewalled if you use such a proxy.
