How to tell uTorrent I have all the files to seed?

Hi there!

I had a torrent running, and it was stuck at 70%... I managed to get the full files from other sources (I friend of mine had downloaded them before - absolutely the same files, same torrent, same checksum, etc). How can I tell uTorrent that those files have been already downloaded, so I can start seeding the whole thing?

Just moving the new files over the old ones won't, of course, do any good... the program will still treat them as if they were 70% complete...

Any ideas?

move the files over and force a re-check before restarting the torrent.

I tried that before.... no good. I guess it only checks the integrity of the file, not the content...

It checks the hashes of the file(s) as compared to what the .torrent file says it should be. Also, remember that BitTorrent works in pieces and blocks. If a SINGLE file contained in a piece does not hash properly, the ENTIRE piece is considered bad.

Uh... the files do constitute the torrent contents. You sure you named the files properly?
