pappadappa
Hi, what exactly is the DHT in utorrent used for? I have some 60 dht nodes connected to me, but I dont see any use of them unlike azeurus where you can search and download from the DHT peers.Thank you. Firon
It's used to find peers, as well as download the torrent when you add a magnet link. It does this automatically.
GTHK
60 nodes is pretty low and may indicate a connectivity issue.
pappadappa
Hi, Thanks for all your replies. I am in a college LAN and usually I am not connected to more than 50-60 nodes. Is this a problem? We have excellent internet connectivity by the wayThank you.
GTHK
Normal for a colledge LAN then since you can't portforward, dun worry.
pappadappa
But isn't udp hole punching supposed to work here? So that I can connect to the outside DHT?

And also i have 0 nodes in DHT. Why can"t my roommate dowload from me?
Switeck
Right-click in Peers window/tab, add peer, put in his ip:port like this:192.168.0.150:55001(assuming his ip is 192.168.0.150 and his port is 55001)
