25000 hashfails because of 2 bad pieces

utorrent 2.0.4 (22150)

Win7 Pro 64-bit

101 GB of data wasted on a 17 GB torrent.

utorrent tried to download the same two pieces over and over again (~6 times/min). The log was full of only this:

utorrent did download some actual data, but it was rarely. I noticed this at 32 % after over a week of leeching.

Shouldn't utorrent ignore the bad pieces eventually and just download the data that's ok, then get to like 99 %?

I asked the seeder (the only one) to re-check his torrent and it had 21 pieces missing.

It does block bad peers unless you've messed with advanced settings.

However, do you have a d-link router with DMZ turned on?

It actually bans peers that send the bad data, so it sounds to me like you're on a massively poisoned torrent. Either that, or something on your machine/network is corrupting the data before it hits uT.

Nope, I have default on advanced settings.

I have Netgear WND3700, DMZ enabled.

The torrent isn't on a public tracker. I've had the same seeder all the week.

The above problem is the first time I've seen it. Though I guess most torrents aren't corrupt.
