catdiz Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 hey there guys/gals, im fairly new at this downloading and uploading via torrents, just a few things, first, my DL is fine, its fast as i need it to be, but wen my DL finishes it goes to UL and it will go very slow if at all, is it somethind to do with my modem/firewall etc. feel free to elaberate.second thing a couple of my torrents have finished and they say in the status section " Error: file missing from job. pleas recheck". i have no idea what this means or what is suposed to be missing as it appears to be all there. as i said im new so i prob stuffed up somewhere along the line, much appreciatedcatdiz
moogly Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 You got this error because you moved the files of the torrent and µT is not able to find the files to seed/download.Just change the download location (stop the torrent job, right click, Advanced > Set download location)

Big G1 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Hi people, I am also new to torrents. My question is, if I want to add a torrent to uTorrent, where do I find the necessary URL of the torrent I want to add. I have tried entering numerous addresses which seem to be a URL but uTorrent keeps rejecting them
Big G1 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 If you are referring to the Beginners Guide, I did read it but I still don't seem to be able to find what I am looking for
moogly Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 µT opens .torrent files. So doublle click on a .torrent stored on your computer or download a .torrent from the web (your web browser will call utorrent.exe).And use Google to find .torrents on the web.
