pauhanna
Wondering if anyone can give me a hint on how to solve this. My upload speeds for uploading or seeding are very erratic. Best case I get to 30 kbs and stay there for 5 secs and then it drops to 1-3 kbs for a while and then the pattern repeats. I don't have any download problems. I also have the green light indicating that the network is OK. I"ve run the speed guide and I've used the speed guide to confirm the port is forwarded correctly. I've got the protocol encryption enabled. I've downloaded the March 7 version with no improvement. It doesn't improve if I turn off firewall. I also have the ports punched through the Linksys router. If I put the computer in the DMZ no improvement.Any ideas anyone?

Firon
Are there actually leechers on these torrents?
$piRiT
Not so much from 3 to 80 =) but i`m curently seeding 40 torrents and they have big size, from 100Mb to 4 Gb and most of them very "popular". I`m using uTorrent since 1.4 tryed all betas the last was 1.4 b 431 and all was ok. Problem appears only in 1.5 stable release. =(
Firon
And if you go back to the betas, do they work?
$piRiT
Hmm.. After i stoped all my downloads, up speed became normal, but why? If it should be so? My channel is 300/300 kb/s or 35/35kB/s. All was ok till new stable version. Any ideas? It look like people can`t connect to me, i have direct ip, tryed to turn firewall off, nothing helped. Also tryed to use 1.4 b. 427, but it also didn` help. Continue for searching a reason.. =)
Firon
Uh, 'cause if you're downloading, that uses upload as overhead. A lot of upload.

splintax
$pirit: I doubt it. µT just gives you a green light when you get a remote connection. Especially when there are few other peers, it's quite likely that you will see a yellow light even when you are connectable.
$piRiT
splintax thx! But look here, how strange. I reinstall uT completly, when i put all my torrents in it, when I`was downloading, status changed 2 green, and some other guy can connect me and started to upload at good speed (29kB/s, my chanel max) i tryed some experiment, i`m stopped downloading and wait, the colour became yellow, firstly, the speed of uploader fall down to 5 kB/s, secondly he lost our connection and can`t connect me now. So i don`t know wtf is going =( Sorry for bad english, it isn`t my native language. Hope ur understand me =)

Firon
Because of the way the option works, it shouldn't be used except by anyone who needs it. Basically, it prevents ISPs from blocking seeding.
$piRiT
Well, i was wrong after seeding for 3 hours i upload only 40 mb. Now i download uTorrent 1.4 and all works fine. Speed is ok, but whats wrong with 1.5??? Also i`m downloading from canada guy who uses uT 1.5 and noone can connect to him, there is a big number of networks and 1 seeder. Sometimes he conectable, but after some time he go offline.
Firon
What firewall is it anyway? Turning off never works, only uninstall.
$piRiT
well using uT for half an hour and upload 30 Mb, with 1.5 i can upload only 40 mb in 3 hour... So i guess there is no problem with firewall. Also, in peer list i see, that people who connect to me using azureus 2400 and uT 1.4...uT 1.5 also available, but very rare.. Don`t know wtf with it. =(
Firon
Can you answer the question? With some firewalls, you have to remove the program from the list and re-add whenever you update.
$piRiT
Ok i`m using kaspersky anti hacker. version 1.8.180. and it is worked in low mode. It blocks attaks, but do not forbid any outgoing and incoming connections. I also tryed to turn it off, when using uT1.5 i doesn`t help me.
