Invy
When I had reformatted my computer, I back-upped the whole uTorrent application data folder, and copied it back to the same path (C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\uTorrent) once I had Windows up and running. It seemed to save all my settings, statistics, and everything except one thing: it didn't seem to save my loaded torrents I had. So I had to go through the hassle and redownload and recheck about 50 gigs worth of stuff. Is there something i'm missing or something I skipped so it would retain my opened torrents after a format? It would be nice if there was a way to retain them, or if it at least saved the uploaded/downloaded totals for each torrent. Firon
You have to keep the same username for it to work... Or, open resume.dat in a hex editor, and replace the username with your current one.
Invy
Ahh, that was my problem then, hopefully. Thanks. Good thinking
Harry Poppins
This is very stupid... but, did you back up your torrents before reformatting?
Firon
He said he backed up the entire folder, so I would assume yes.
