uTP slow transfer speed

Ok, I think that I found why I sometimes get slow uTP speeds. First, I can uTP. Period. What I found was, that with the same peer, sometimes I get nice uTP transfer speeds and sometimes (5 minutes later) I get a maximum of 1kB/s speed. What I think is happening is that sometimes, uT establishes low quality connections causing this max 1kB/s transfer. I don't find any reason keeping this kind of connection while other peers, especially peers connection via TCP, gain from this. What I suggest is, if possible, to increase the threshold of uTP connections so that these kind of connections won't be active at all. If a good uTP connection can't be established after a few tries I would consider establishing a TCP connection.

I see this mainly on version 2.0.4 but I guess it applies also to the other versions. It just drives me crazy that I can't equally seed peers using uTP so I switch to TCP only. I spoke with Greg about this and we both saw that it's working but sometimes the speed is low and discriminating some uTP users. On the download side I won't be surprised to see this also.

And a personal record, 14 upload slots now on the latest 2.2 version :). What the hell is this version doing? :)

I have 10-12 connections @ 25K (1 torrent) :( Sometimes it temporarily jump to 25 :P

You're reading it wrong. The "U" or "O" means the peer has an upload slot. The presence of upload does not.

This is 11:

This is 9:

The number of upload slots can be a bit higher (up to 2x normal) if upload to some peers in unstable. Stable upload speed or fewer upload slots: pick one.
