Can't find downloaded files

Hey guys,

I set up Utorrent to save the downloaded files to my external HD and the one time I forgot to plug it in while I was downloading the file. Now, when I try to search for the file that i downloaded on my mac I can't find it. It seems like the file is somehow hidden on my mac?? because obviously it completed the download. I was wondering if there is some sort of hidden directory that Utorrent creates for downloaded files? Any help would be really useful. Thanks!
