renegade18
i have been using utorrent for years and this is my first encounter with a problem .it seems that when i changed the download directory of some 13-14 torrents which were being seeded , the entire download directory(not default ,but the new dwld dir) has vanished .I had been seeding those vampire diaries torrents for quite a while and when i changed the location of the files and also changed the location of the download directory for the purpose of seeding them ,not only the files but the entire download location has gone missing . i used a freeware file recovery software and recovered some of the missing files but not all of them . What should i do now??
moogly
µT deletes the files only if you tell it. So you surely did a mistake and you deleted the files yourself. To change the location, you just need to stop the torrent job, right click, "Advanced > Set download location" then choose the folder where you moved the files. For the new torrents, change the folder in Preferences > Directories (not retroactive for torrents already loaded in µT). renegade18
I just want to make myself clear on this on .... I NEVER DELETED THE FILES . When i moved the download location not only did the torrents disappear but also the normal files in the download location . Now, Why would Utorrent do that ?? how do I get my missing files back ??
