hi, i want to automatically start another torrent dl if my current torrent being downloaded has a speed of 50kbps and below..can i change the value of the queue.slow.dl.threshold from default of 1000 to anything?

is 1000 a value of bytes?or what?

thanks for the reply..

Things could go very wrong. Just values of 4096 and a small enough line with a lot of torrents queued could have a runaway "holy shit too many torrents are trying to ignore the queue and start and run terribly" effect.

The world isn't going to fall into a black hole if you try this :)

We have no idea what your connection can handle, but what will happen is that an arbitrarily large number of torrents could start to download at speeds of up to 50kB/s. Obviously they will still be limited by your maximum connection speed, but a larger number of torrents fighting over too small a slice of download doesn't produce the fastest downloads. Better to have a small number downloading something meaningful.

If you know you will only have a relatively small number of extra downloads waiting to start and you have the download bandwidth to handle them then it will work just fine. Normally this setting is quite low just so that your entire download queue isn't stuck behind a torrent effectively downloading nothing except a few hundred bytes of overhead. If 50kB/s is effectively nothing compared to your total bandwidth then knock yourself out :)
