xerces8 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Hi!I use uT 2.0.4. build 22450 on WinXP.Currently I am seeding a bunch of torrents and I tried to raise the UL speed. As it can be seen on the screenshot, when I set the Maximum upload rate to 450 kB/s,the amount of overhead tripled. When I set the limit to 400 and then 380 kB/s, the overhead returned to the old amount. What is the explanation of this?uT was the only program using the network. The DSL upload bandwith is about 3400 megabit/s.Regards,DavidThe screenshot (I removed a bit to make it narrower):
Switeck Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 uTP going nuts probably with packet loss and switching to tiny UDP packet size.Is uTP enabled?
xerces8 Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 Is uTP enabled? You mean the "Enable bandwidth management (uTP)" option? It is enabled.
Switeck Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Try disabling it and/or following Rafi's guide to making it use only large packet size.Rafi's uTorrent Guide is here: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=74820
