Switeck
Often trackers, DHT, and Peer Exchange report peers and seeds that are dead-and-gone.
georgeberz
Found a solution that workedThe torrent was very popular with lots of seeders and leeches and the maximum connected peers per torrent was set to something like 90.... reset it to 400 and bang... d/l speed went up to 500+Im assuming because of the 0 connections most were leechers then the few seeders that the balance of the 90 wol d let me connect to were slow ones... after the change it REALLY made a difference.Consider this if you have not changed your max connections per torrent and your using all your slotsGeorge
DreadWingKnight
Not recommended. By increasing the number of connections, you could potentially cripple networking hardware.
Switeck
It's unsustainable. Your own upload speed certainly isn't 500-600 KILOBYTES/second...so only a very few can do that before it drags everyone's speed way down....BUT if uTorrent is set correctly, it should be downloading about 80% or more of its upload speed if it's only running the 1 torrent. I regularly see download speeds about 80-150% of my upload speeds even on torrents with few seeds because I have higher-than-average total upload speed. (I can upload at 125 KB/sec.)
