DreadWingKnight
Well, what other software do you have besides XP Pro SP2?It's probably incompatibility with software you're running rather than a uT bug.
Firon
Turn off automatic restarting and see what's crashing it. User processes cannot cause a BSOD.

Firon
Well, µTorrent can't actually lock up the system, you have some kind of problem. What other software do you have?

Ak1ra
I have exactly the same problem. When I'm using utorrent I always have nod32 running, the windows firewall and the wireless usb application
Firon
NOD32's IMON is broken, it crashes itself and µT (and potentially your system)
Ak1ra
Never had problems with NOD32, not even when I had the last version of utorrent
Firon
Just make sure the Internet Monitor part is off.
shadek
Does either of you two have overclocked computers? If so, they are not stable. BSODs simply can't occur in Windows XP unless there's a hardware failure or a major software problem.
splintax
Seems unlikely that this problem would suddenly crop up in 1.5, though. The beta directory listing is still disabled, but you could try going back through old betas and finding out which one first causes the problem.http://utorrent.com/download/beta/utorrent-1.4.2-beta-build-435.exehttp://utorrent.com/download/beta/utorrent-1.4.2-beta-build-434.exehttp://utorrent.com/download/beta/utorrent-1.4.1-beta-build-420.exeFiron, maybe all the betas should go into the 1.4 directory and only current betas should go in /beta?
