SyKoTiK Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 I created a btskin file (text file without an extension) with a few items I wanted to change the colors of, put it inside of a ZIP file and then renamed its extension to .btskin (as the documentation instructs), but the colors are not being changed in uTorrent. I've tried changing the colors to something other than what I actually want just to see if it simply won't let me use black (000000) as my background color, but it just won't work. What am I doing wrong?I'm using uTorrent 2.2 (22732) on Windows 7 x64.I posted this issue in the User Interface Design section of the forum, too, but nobody's responded yet so that's why I've posted it here as well. Here are the lines from the btskin file so you can all see what I'm trying to set the colors to as a test.list_background:000000list_text:FFFFFFsidebar_background:000000sidebar_text:FFFFFFfind_pane_background:000000find_pane_search_btn_background:000000find_pane_text:000000find_pane_subtext:787878
Firon Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Keep in mind that some settings only work in 3.0. Do ANY colors work for you?
SyKoTiK Posted November 3, 2010 Author Report Posted November 3, 2010 Keep in mind that some settings only work in 3.0. Do ANY colors work for you?I couldn't get any colors to work no matter what I did. That's why I wasn't sure if I was just doing something wrong. Is the code I was trying to use working for you in the 2.2.x family?
Firon Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Skinning does work for me. Not as many things are supported in 2.2, mostly just progress bar colors, scheduler, speed graph, and the find pane.
SyKoTiK Posted November 4, 2010 Author Report Posted November 4, 2010 I switched to the 3.0.x client just to see the btskin in effect, but I'll probably just switch back to the 2.2.x client soon. Are there any plans to add the same level of btskin support in the 2.2.x family, or will that strictly be reserved for the 3.0.x family?
Firon Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 The extra color support will be in 3.0 only. But at least some of the settings do work on 2.2, so you can recolor part of it.
